Yea, I know, who has time to read blogs. Maybe this should be a podcast. Well, don’t think I haven’t thought about it. But the problem is, most of my potential podcast guests will not want to meet me when I do my best work – in my spare bedroom at 2 a.m. – to expound on the absurdities of life in the courtroom and the conference room. Maybe they just don’t love “the law” as much as I do. I’ve been practicing it for almost 30 years. I worked in various legal underling capacities for years before that. I’ve seen a lot of Lex Ridiculum in those years, and with the advent of social media, I see much more today.
I want to celebrate/laugh at/ridicule what I see. I think I’ve earned the right, and the time is ripe. As I write this, we seem to be battling another imminent global pandemic. Since I’m “elderly” and I have “underlying health issues,” who knows how long I’ve got?
So, we’re off to visit the land of quirky judges, silly statutes, epic rulings, and irrational clients. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. But keep your arms and legs in the vehicle at all times.
Most of all, in the immortal words of Sgt. Phil Esterhaus, “Let’s be careful out there.”
