As Abraham Lincoln said, “A lawyer’s time and advice is his stock and trade.” What I have to offer you is my experience, time, and expertise. Many lawyers, good lawyers, are willing to give away some of that time hoping to attract your attention. That’s pretty effective, isn’t it?
Attorneys who offer free consultations meet with many potential clients who are ready to learn how to get a handle on their finances. But they also get a lot of people who are looking for free advice or who just don’t bother to show up. If you were to miss a doctor’s appointment, you’d be charged for it, right?
I charge for Strategy Sessions for the same reason your doctor charges for your visit. Plus, it discourages “no shows” and people who have no intention of hiring the firm. It’s only $50, but it effectively ensures we’ll have time to review your issues and form a game plan tailored just for you. After that, if you hire the Law Firm, we won’t bill separately for additional conferences no matter how much time they take.
